    What is permanent jewelry?

    Permanent jewelry is custom-fit jewelry made without a traditional clasp. Once you've chosen your chain and fit, the ends are welded together so you can wear the piece continuously.

    Permanent simply means clasp-free. It can still be removed whenever you choose.

    Does it hurt?

    No. The welding happens only at the small connecting point of the jewelry, not on your skin.

    The actual weld takes just a few seconds.

    Is it actually permanent?

    Only for as long as you want it to be.

    If you decide to remove your piece, it can be carefully cut at the welded connecting point. Save the chain if you'd like to see whether it can be rewelded later.

    Can I shower in permanent jewelry?

    Generally, permanent jewelry is designed for everyday wear.

    Care can vary depending on the metal and chain you choose, so we'll provide care guidance for your specific piece.

    Can I swim in it?

    You can generally wear suitable permanent jewelry in water, but frequent exposure to chlorine, harsh chemicals, or certain environments can affect jewelry over time.

    We'll give you care instructions based on the material you choose.

    Can I go through airport security with it?

    Permanent jewelry generally does not need to be removed for routine airport security.

    Security procedures can vary, so always follow any instructions given by airport personnel.

    What if I need an MRI or medical procedure?

    Always follow the instructions of your healthcare provider or medical facility.

    Some medical procedures require jewelry to be removed regardless of the material. If necessary, permanent jewelry can be cut off at the connecting point.

    What happens if my jewelry breaks?

    Permanent does not mean indestructible.

    Fine chains can break if they catch, pull, or experience enough force. If your piece breaks, keep the chain and contact us. Depending on its condition, it may be possible to repair or reweld it.

    How long does the appointment take?

    The welding itself takes only seconds.

    Most of the experience is choosing your chain, finding your fit, and deciding whether you'd like to add any available details.

    Can I take it off later?

    Absolutely.

    Permanent jewelry is meant to stay on without a clasp, not trap you in a lifelong commitment to a bracelet.

    If you're ready to remove it, carefully cut the small connecting ring or have it professionally removed.
